Riverwood believes that a dynamic program in athletics is vital to the educational development of students; athletics play an important part in the life of our school. Lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, goal-setting and commitment are an integral part of the athletic experience. Athletic competition adds school spirit and develops school pride for participants as well as spectators.  The opportunity for participation in a wide variety of athletics is an important part of the student's educational experience. It is a privilege that carries responsibilities to the school, the sport, the community and the students themselves.
