Head Coach: Jonathan Griffith

Coach Griffith has been teaching at Riverwood for 30 years.  He began coaching the Cross Country team 27 years ago and has also coached other sports at the school:  Golf - 7 years, Track - 2 years, Soccer - 5 years.  An Industrial Arts teacher, he has taught workshop, metal shop, and mechanical drawing. Currently, he teaches mechanical drawing, engineering and set-buidling classes. Coach Griffith and his wife Gray have two daughters:  Anna, Riverwood Class of 2003 and Hollis, Riverwood Class of 2005. Born in Fairport, New York (near Rochester), Coach Griffith has lived in Sandy Springs since he was five years old. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he has a BS in Education (Industrial Arts). Coach Griffith played baseball, soccer, and tennis in high school. Recreationally, Coach Griffith enjoys playing golf, biking, running, hiking, football, basketball, tennis and table tennis.
